Architecture is not supposed to be about walls, doors and windows. They are just means to an end. Great architecture is about people and improving their lives. Because what makes architecture unique as an artform is the blend of creativity, the selection of materials and craftsmanship. Architects are artists, but they are also suppliers of a basic human need: spaces where we can feel at home, buildings that allow us to live and work in comfort and health.
This magazine was founded to acknowledge this double role of architects and to highlight their achievements when it comes to the use of bricks. Today, we proudly celebrate its 40th issue.
